Book lovers, collectors, and bargain hunters—mark your calendars! The Friends of the New Milford Public Library are hosting their Annual Summer Book Sale at New Milford High School, and this year’s event comes with extra urgency: it will be the last book sale for at least two years due to upcoming library construction.
The sale kicks off on Thursday, July 11, with an early bird session from 9–10 a.m. for a $5 admission fee, followed by free entry from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Shoppers can return on Friday, July 12 (10 a.m.–6 p.m.) or snag incredible deals during the half-price finale on Saturday, July 13 (10 a.m.–2 p.m.).
With thousands of gently used books across all genres—fiction, nonfiction, children’s, cookbooks, and more—this is your chance to stock up on summer reads while supporting your local library. Given the two-year hiatus ahead, organizers encourage visitors to think ahead and fill their shelves while they can.

Don’t wait—this literary treasure hunt won’t return until the library reopens its doors!
